Review

I fell in love with Shannon Parker’s character in Divine by Mistake. So I was more than a little excited to read Divine by Choice. Unfortunately this second in the series didn’t come close to the greatness of the first.

Shannon has finally gotten the hang of living in Partholon, when she is pulled back into her own Oklahoma by her mirror image Rhiannon. Who has been stirring up all kind of trouble for Shannon’s family and ClanFintan’s mirror image Clint. With Clints help she will have to learn how to defeat Rhiannon, and the evil she has awakened, and figure out how to get back home.

***SPOILER  ALERT***

This book really through me for a loop. The Shannon from the first book would not have made the major decision to have sex with Clint. In the first book Shannon would snark about  Rhiannon’s loose behavior, and how that was not for her. I know Clint is ClanFintan’s mirror image, but I thought she was a stronger character than that, and so is Clint for that matter He knows she is married.

By the end of the book I was Feeling sorry for everyone. Even Rhiannon character, after her back story was given how could I not. I like my bad guys to be….well bad guys, I don’t want to feel sorry for them. In the end was this a page turner? Yes. Will I be reading it again? No. It left me depressed, and I don’t know about reading the next in the series now.

Happy Reading,
Rebecca
